Beaverlodge Mural Foundation chairman Jim Drabble said the mural had become a little worn down over the past 14 years, and so the society brought together some tools and talent to retouch the mural, stripping the varnish and

It included a Kabbaddi tournament, a contact sport where a single player runs to the opposing teams half and touch out as many players as they can and then return to their side of the court without being tackled by defenders. Organizer Shekhar Sahdev said with the growing Punjabi community in Grande Prairie the event was really wanted. It also saw groups from across the province come to participate. United Punjab Grande Prairie said it is a common game played in India.
