National Aboriginal Hockey Championships opening ceremony

The National Aboriginal Hockey Championship brought the region over 350 athletes and officials.

"This elite sporting event marks a significant milestone as it lands in Alberta for the first time in its history,” said City of Grande Prairie Mayor Jackie Clayton.

Hythe Regional School’s Grade 3 Cree Language students performed a hello song and the national anthem at the ceremony.
