Beaverlodge residents curious about their latest utility bill are being advised of the anomaly.

The June utility billings are showing no consumption figures due to a failure in the town’s communication system. 

Administration is working to correct the problem but advise it may take as long as the end of the month as components require replacement.

The town says once the system is corrected, it will be able to read consumption data from the last billing of May 26 and charges will appear on the next bill.

Penalties will be charged for late payment, according to the town, which advises residents to apply extra funds based on normal usage to the June bill to avoid large July bills.
