Christmas events around the South Peace
November 30, 2023
By:
Austin Payeur, Community Reporter
The Hoku Sei Kan Judo Club sold some Christmas treats at the Wembley Winter Market, held on Nov. 25 and 26. Hosted in the Wembley Elementary School, the market was sponsored by the Wembley Community Society (WCS) to raise funds for a new playground at the school. While visiting the vendors, residents could also decorate cookies by donation and snag a photo with Santa Claus. (Photo by Austin Payeur)

In addition to a craft market, the day saw Christmas crafts and activities for children, and closed off with a light up on the evening of Nov. 25.
